How information is added

Cost and harm information can be added to test reports by making small changes to the reporting process.

The process

Mark Norwood, Associate Director of Information Management and Technology at Derby Teaching Hospitals, explains how he adapted the regular reporting  process so that information on cost and harm was included in the results.

What the clinician sees

The information on cost and potential future risks is shown when the physician views the test results in the usual way.
